Melissa Organic

From the same Lamiaceae family as mint, the Melissa is an aromatic perennial herb with light green leaves and small white, pale yellow or pink flowers. It is also known as Lemon Balm due to its lemony fragrance. Cultivated since Antiquity for its therapeutic benefits, mainly soothing, antispasmodic and antiviral, the Melissa is frequently used in aromatherapy and phytotherapy nowadays.

With a sweet floral and lemony scent, the Melissa hydrosol is just as soothing, thus efficient to promote calm or relaxation. Refreshing, purifying and invigorating, this natural antiseptic will also be a great help during winter and to facilitate digestion. In cooking, mix its slightly lemony and honeyed flavors into desserts, drinks or savory dishes for an original touch. Drinking it as an infusion will also provide a genuine feeling of well-being and comfort. Cosmetic-wise, it is known to appease and tone the skin.
